School Dinners

Universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) provides funding for all government funded schools.  Providing free school meals to students in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Pupil premium children will continue to receive free meals past the age of 7.

School Lunch Menu

Derbyshire County Council provide our school meals and that cost £3.30 a day.  They provide healthy menus and promote the healthy choices to pupils. Further information about the meals can be found below.

  • Most schools offer 2 choices of hot main meals or a jacket potato per day.
  • The menu is on a 3 week cycle and changes every 6 months.
  • A standard portion of a main meal with vegetables, salad, bread, fresh fruit and drinking water is freely available.

All medical diets are catered for, our Menu development Officer creates specialist menus to ensure each child has a meal that meets their requirements. To apply for a medical diet you must have a referral from a medical professional and complete a “medical diet form” which can be obtained from your school.

Packed Lunches

In the warmer months, the children have the option to eat their packed lunched outside on the playground benches, otherwise they eat packed lunches alongside the dinner children in the hall.  Please avoid sweets and chocolate in the packed lunches. Additionally, we are a nut free school so please ensure no nuts or nut based produce are included in packed lunches.
