Friends of English Martyrs’
Commonly known as the FEM, we are a friendly team of parents, carers and teachers, who donate time and energy to raise money for the school, organise events for the children and their families and improve the school environment.
The money we raise supports a wealth of activities and provides additional resources to enhance school life at English Martyrs’.
All parents of children at English Martyrs’ are automatically members of the FEM. We would love to meet or hear from you, and for you to be involved when/where you can.

The English Martyrs’ PTA was registered as a charity in 1993 and over the years they have been a focus for fundraising, social events and general support for the school.
The name ‘Friends of English Martyrs’ was adopted to recognise our wide range of supporters, alongside parents and teachers. Over the years Grandparents, former students and parents and the wider parish community have all made valuable contributions to the work of the FEM.
We have a dedicated committee team who manage FEM activities and admin but we rely on the support of everyone in the school community to make the magic happen! Currently, we have 11 committee members including two Co-chairs, a Treasurer, Secretary and Ordinary members who take on roles as required. We are always keen to hear from anyone interested in planning events and helping with FEM admin.

Fundraising activities
We run events for the school community to have fun and to raise funds.
- Fairs at Christmas and in the Summer
- Film nights after school for children
- Discos
- Non-uniform days
- Playground sales
We also have schemes that run throughout the year. Please support us through these schemes.
